Ann was born on April 3rd, 1831 in Sackville Reach NSW. Ann's father was Richard Ridge and her mother was Margaret Forrester. Her maternal grandparents were * Robert Forrester and * Isabella Ramsay. She had six brothers and six sisters, named James Bligh, Thomas, Richard Charles, John, Robert, William Bligh, Isabella Jane, Martha, Elizabeth Lucy, Mary Ann, Margaret and Lucinda. She was the second youngest of the thirteen children.-
