Elizabeth was born about 1773. Elizabeth's father was James Young and her mother was Mary McComb. Her paternal grandparents were John Young and UNKNOWN Elizabeth; her maternal grandparents were Andrew McComb and Jane Raeburn. She had five brothers and five sisters, named Robert, William, Thomas, James, Andrew, Margaret, Peggy, Mary, Jean and Agnes. She was the fifth youngest of the eleven children.-
