Walter Briscoe was born on March 20th, 1857 in ,,IL. Walter Briscoe's father was James M. Toner and his mother was Susan Young. His paternal grandparents were Edward Toner and Susan Updegraff; his maternal grandparents were John M. Young and Nancy Louden. He had three brothers and two sisters, named John Davidson, James Madison Barwick, William Vermillon, Nancy Belle and Ella Eliza. He was the second youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 59 on June 2nd, 1916 in National City,CA. He was buried in Terre Haute,IN.General Notes
