Alexander J was born in 1863 in New York. Alexander J's father was William Napier and his mother was Mary Gibson Kirkpatrick. His maternal grandparents were William Kirkpatrick and Barbara R Campbell. He had four brothers and three sisters, named William Jr, John R, George, James A, Rachel, Mary Jane and Elizabeth. He died at the age of 90 in 1953 in New York. He was buried in Maplegrove Cemetery,Cattaraugus Co,New York.-
