John McClung 
John was born in 1733. John's father was John McClung and his mother was Rebecca Stuart. His paternal grandfather was UNKNOWN John. He had six brothers and two sisters, named William, James, Samuel, Thomas, Joseph, Charles, Nancy and Janett. He died at the age of 99 in September 1832.General Notes

He went from Rockbridge County, WV to Bath County, VA. He was for a number of years proprietor of the hotel at Warm Springs, VA. He used to visit his brothers in Greenbriar County, WV once every year, and was greatly beloved by his family in WV. He was a Revolutionary soldier and served in General Porterfield's regiment. Gen. Porterfield used to say when John McClung would pray before a battle, victory was sure to perch upon the American banners. He was an Elder in the Windy Cove Presbyterian Church.
John and Sarah were married in a religious ceremony in 1770. They had three sons and seven daughters, named Robert, John, William, Margaret, Sarah, Nancy, Hannah, Jane, Mary and Dorothy.

Mary was born in 1784. She died at the age of 78 on February 16th, 1862 in ,Bath,Va. She was buried in Windy Cove.
William McClung
William was born on April 17th, 1793 in ,Bath,VA. He died at the age of 72 on November 8th, 1865.
