Alexander Lennox Died At Twelve-Twenty OClock Sunday Morning
Complication Of Diseases Caused Death

Alexander Lennox died at twelve-twenty oclock Sunday morning at the home of his son, Jesse Lennox, four and a half miles southeast of this city in Shelby township.  Mr. Lennox had been seriously ill with a complication of diseases for some time and his condition had been critical for the past week.
Mr. Lennox had been a life long resident of this county and was exceptionally well known.  He was born December 24, 1837, and was the son of Joseph and Mary Lennox.  He was married September 20, 1860 to Miss Mahala Amos.  She died May 11, 1905.
Four children were born to Mr. Lennox and his wife, two of whom survive.  These are  Mrs. Nora E. Clapp, of this township, and the son at whose home he died.  Five grandchildren and three sisters survive. The sisters are Mrs. Elizabeth Johnson, of Connersville; Mrs. Mary Murphy, of Crawfordsville, and Mrs. Permelia Howe of Washington township, this county.
The deceased was a member of the Lewis Creek Baptist church, joining some forty-six years ago.  He had been interested in church work and had held several church offices.
Funeral services will be held at two-thirty oclock Tuesday morning in the Lewis Creek Baptist church.  The Rev. S. Holmes Wood, pastor of the church, will officiate.  Burial will be made in the Lewis Creek cemetery.  No flowers.
