Hess and Nancy Elizabeth Young; his maternal grandfather was E.G. Sargent. He had six brothers and six sisters, named Gerald Glenn, Kermit William, James Carey, Living, Living, Living, Jewell, Pearle Gale, Mary Ellen, Minnie May, Lela Juanita and Living. He died at the age of 90 on December 12th, 1991 in Oregon City,OR.-
