Olva Earl was born in 1896. Olva Earl's father was Joseph Berry Hankins and her mother was Nancy Jane Harrell. Her paternal grandparents were Joshua Tipton Hankins and Phoebe Jane Glenn. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Oley Samuel, Otto Joseph, Alta, Anna Mae and Elva Earl. She was the second youngest of the six children.-
