Hugh Spears was born on December 25th, 1839 in ,Woodford,KY. Hugh Spears' father was John Guyn and his mother was Elizabeth White. His paternal grandparents were Robert Guyn and Jane Black; his maternal grandparents were Joel White and UNKNOWN Minerva. He had six brothers and four sisters, named Benjamin William, Joel White, Robert James, John B, Neal Gordon, William Henry, Nancy Jane, Kitty Ann, Elizabeth Lewis and Mary Martha. He was the fourth youngest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 50 on November 18th, 1890 in ,Woodford,KY. He was buried in Guyn Cemetery,Woodford,KY.-
