Mary Iowa was born on April 7th, 1881. Mary Iowa's father was Issac Calhoun and her mother was Anna Guenill Hansen. Her paternal grandparents were David Calhoun and Delilah Geary. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Charles Issac, Christopher Hazen, Eliza Irene, Alma Delliah, Blanche Guenill and Iola Virginia. She was the oldest of the seven children.-
