Demas L was born on October 17th, 1840 in Pennsylvania. Demas L's father was John Ames and his mother was Mary Thompson. His paternal grandparents were Jabez Ames and Elizabeth Smith. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Arthur Amer, Erastus Hoskin, John Martin, Samuel L, Joshua, Rosa Ann, Elizabeth, Mary Ann and Celia. He died after June 1888.General Notes
