Amos Holland Ames 
Amos Holland was born on April 24th, 1838 in Pennsylvania.1 Amos Holland's father was William Ames and his mother was Margaret UNKNOWN. His paternal grandparents were Jabez Ames and Elizabeth Smith. He had a brother and three sisters, named Henry D, Elizabeth M, Edith and Leticia. He was the second oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 69 on November 11th, 1907 in Pike,Muscatine Co,Iowa. He was buried in Watkins Cemetery,Muscatine Co,Iowa.1 1 General Notes
