Maude De was born about 1041 in Of,Mortaigne,S-Mnch,France.1 Maude De's father was Roger V de Montgomery Earl of Arundel and her mother was Mabel d' Talvas [Countess of Shr. Her paternal grandparents were Roger de Montgomery [Seigneur of Mon and Josceline de Pont-audemer; her maternal grandparents were William D'Alencon of Talvas and Hildeburge de Beaumont. She had six brothers and three sisters, named Robert II de, Roger "The Poitevin", Hugues de, Phillip, Arnulph de, Robert, Ameria (Emma) de, Mabel and Sybil. She was the second oldest of the ten children. She had a half-sister named Ponce. She died in 1107. She was buried in Grestain Abbey.1 1 General Notes
