William D'Aubigny 2nd Earl of Arundel 
William was born in 1148 in Belvoir Castle,Leicestershire,England.1 William's father was William II D'Aubigny Earl of Arundel and his mother was Maud (Matilda) De Saint Hillary. His paternal grandparents were William , Earl of Arundel 1st D'Aubigny and Adeliza Of Brabant Queen of Englaand; his maternal grandparents were James Du Harcourt De Saint Hilary and Aveline Ales Canamor of Scotland. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Ralph, William IV, Avice (Agnes) and Cecily. He was the second oldest of the five children. He had five half-brothers and six half-sisters, named Richard, Roger, James, John, Henry, Elena, Mabel FitzPatrick, Eveline (Aveline), Isabelle, Marie and Blanche.
