Mathilde was born in London,Middlesex,England.1   Mathilde's father was Henry I "Beauclerc" King Of England and her mother was Matilda Or Edith Scotland.  Her paternal grandfather was William "The Conqueror" of England; her maternal grandparents were Malcolm Caenmore III King of Scotland and Margaret "the Saint" of England. She had four brothers and six sisters, named Euphamia, William, William Atheling, Richard, Elizabeth, Elizabeth de, Constance Princess of, Matilda Maud of, Euphamia and Maud "The Empress" Princess of.
