Hildegarde was born in 0961 in Zuid Holland. Hildegarde's father was Dirk II Count of Holland and her mother was Hildegard of Flanders. Her paternal grandparents were Dirk Diedrich I Count of Holland and Gerberge Vermandois; her maternal grandparents were Arnoul I Count Of Flanders and Adele (Alice) (Alix) Vermandois. She had a brother and two sisters, named Arnulf Count of, Erlinda, Countess of and Adeline Adela. She was the second youngest of the four children.General Notes
