Herbert I Count of was born in 0848 in Vermandois Neustria and his baptism took place in France (Aka Heribert) - Son of Pepin II.  Herbert I Count of's father was Pepin II Count de Vermandois and his mother was Rothaid Bobbio.  His paternal grandparents were Bernard King of Italy and Kunigunde De Toulousse; his maternal grandparents were Wala De Bobbio and Hellinburche de Gellone. He had three brothers and a sister, named Pepin I de Vermandois Comte de, Bernard Count Of, Pepin III Berenger and UNKNOWN.  He was the second youngest of the five children.  He died at the age of 54 in 0902 in France (Count Senli) (murdered).1

‌Herbert I Count of and Bertha Morvois Countess of were married in a religious ceremony before 0880.  They had two sons and four daughters, named Hugo de, Odo De, Sproata (Adela) of, Béatrice de, Kunigunde de and Adela de.
