Her paternal grandparents were Philip De Braiose and Aenor De Totnais; her maternal grandparents were Miles de Pîtres of , Earl of Hereford Gloucester and Sybil de Neufmarche. She had eight brothers and six sisters, named William, Philip de, Engeram, William de, Reginald, Roger, John de, Giles, Maud, Sybil de, Isabel de, Gillian de, Susanna Maud de and Matilda.
