‌William and Phoebe were married in a religious ceremony on February 17th, 1800 in Harrison Co., Kentucky.  They had eight sons and four daughters, named Samuel, William, James E., Lewis Deweese, David, Gibson, Henry, Jonathan, Mary, Elizabeth, Lucinda and Jane.
