Esther Zike 
Esther was born in 1804 in Jessamine County, Kentucky. Esther's father was Jacob "Zeuch" Zike and her mother was Katherine Lucinda Avey. She had six brothers and two sisters, named John, David, Jacob, Joseph, William Allen, Jacob, Susannah and Sarah. She was the second youngest of the nine children.
Esther and John were married in a religious ceremony on June 25th, 1825 in Jessamine County, Kentucky. They had three sons and four daughters, named Henry, John Jr., William, Dolly, Elizabeth, Mahala and Nancy.
