Alva Addison was born on November 5th, 1871. Alva Addison's father was George W. Zike and his mother was Mariah Nan Taylor. His paternal grandparents were George W. Zike and Betty Ann Linville. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Lewis Franklin, Fred Arthur, Charles Edgar, Wilbur Leslie, Emma Esther and Altha Lena. He was the oldest of the seven children.-
