Dorothy was born on June 11th, 1851 in Shelby County, Indiana. Dorothy's father was Thomas Wicker and her mother was Nancy Zike. Her maternal grandparents were David Zike and Catherine Smith. She had five brothers and five sisters, named William Tally, David, Thomas, Jasper Lincoln, George Anthony, Catherine, Sarah Ann, Hester Ann, Elizabeth and Nancy Jane. She was buried in Little Blue River Baptist Cemetery, Shelby Co., Indiana.-
