Cecil A. Silvers, 83, of Bloomington, died Friday at Bloomington
Hospital.
Born Aug. 2, 1910, in Somerset, KY, he was the son of Oscar and
Jeannette (Thompson) Silvers. He was a quarry worker for 50 year and
retired from Maple Hill Quarry. He was a member of the Broadview Church
of Nazarene.
Survivors include his wife, Olive E. (Eads) Silvers; two daughters
Lois Ferree and Christina Mitchell, both of Bloomington; one son, Don
Silvers of Bloomington; two sisters Ruby Wilson of Bloomington and Hazel
East of Florida; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Clida Frank and Eva
Simpson; one brother, Hobert Silvers.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Allen Funeral Home with the
Rev. John A. Mohler officiating. Burial will be at Valhalla Memory
Gardens.
Friends may call 3 - 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral
