David Shields 
David was born on June 9th, 1805 in Sevier Co., Tennessee. David's father was David Shields and his mother was Susan Edwards. His paternal grandparents were Robert Shields and Nancy Stockton. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Robert, Jacob Edwards, William, Jane and Phoebe. He had a half-brother named Joseph. He died at the age of 41 on August 8th, 1846 in Fulton Co., Illinois.-
