Alvin Owens 
Alvin was born in 1872 in Owensburg, Greene, Indiana. Alvin's father was Lilburn Owens and his mother was Mary 'Pop' Duncan. His paternal grandparents were John Owens and Anna Mason. He had two brothers and two sisters, named John, William 'Bill', Jeanette 'Nettie' and Ada. He had five half-brothers and eight half-sisters, named Marshall, Ollie, Howard, Lowery, Lovey, Juliet, Catherine, Lavina, Mary Belle, Charlotte, Eliza, Lizzie and Mary Jane. He died at the age of 63 on December 15th, 1935 in Bloomington, Monroe, Indiana. He was buried in Midland.General Notes

Alvin Owens, 63, Is Dead Of Heart Failure
Alvin Owens , 63, died at his home at 409 South College Avenue early
Sunday evening after a few days' illness of heart trouble.
He is survived by his wife, Lola Owens, five sons, Larry of Midland,
Ronald of Bloomington, Lex of Autin, Tx, and John and Paul of Lansing;
one daughter, Fern of Bloomington; two brothers, John of Harrodsburg and
William of Indianapolis, and one sister, Mrs. Etta (Nettie) McGlothlin of
Indianapolis.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Wednesday at the First Baptist
Chruch in charge of the Rev. Douglas Rae. Buril will be at Midland, where
he lived before coming here.
He was a member of the Owensburg Methodist Church and a member of the
Modern Woodmen.
