Fred P. was born on July 31st, 1908 in Monroe County, Indiana. Fred P.'s father was Ora Crinston Koontz and his mother was Lou Ada McGlothlin. His paternal grandparents were James Allen Koontz and Susan J. Rush; his maternal grandparents were John G. McGlothlin and Lucindia Zike. He had three brothers and two sisters, named William, Boy, Joseph Allen, Genevie and Marie. He was the oldest of the six children. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Hassell Crinston, Clayton Perry and Gretchen J.. He died at the age of 50 on March 27th, 1959 in Monroe County, Indiana. He was buried in Clover Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg, Monroe County, Indiana.-
