Merle Cline 
Merle was born on October 15th, 1909 in Sanders, Monroe Co., Indiana. Merle's father was Charles M. Cline and his mother was Maude Emiline Shields. His paternal grandparents were William Cline and Mandy Crouse; his maternal grandparents were James Madison Shields and Mary Jane Heltonburg. He had three sisters named Pauline, Zola and Esther. He was the second oldest of the four children. He died at the age of 66 on November 30th, 1975 in Monroe County, Indiana. He was buried in Clear Creek Cemetery, Clear Creek, Monroe Co., Indiana.-
