General Notes

Francis (Mike) Boesche served in the Air Force and was saved from going
overseas in World War II by a ruptured appendix. When he recovered he
went to work for Roscoe Turner Avionics and worked there for 21 years.
He always wanted to be a pilot but couldn't fly commercial airlines
because of a heart murmur. When he left the airport he worked a variety
of jobs such as hanging insulation for LC Cassidy, driving a truck for
Chesty Potato Chips and then finally being a maintenance supervisor and
accident investigator for US Post Office in Indy.
After he retired from the Post Office he worked part-time driving a parts
truck for an Auto Parts store. He died very suddenly at age 72 of a heart
attack. He had a great sense of humor most like his father Harry Boesche.
Francis (Mike) married Martha Guthrie on May 6, 1950. They met on a blind
date and went together for about a year before they wed. She worked as a
secretary at Public Service until she had her family. They had 5 children.
