Treva was born on March 26th, 1911. Treva's father was Alonzo Baker and her mother was Zelma Elendor Zike. Her paternal grandparents were Samuel Baker and Lettie Harrison; her maternal grandparents were William Zike and Harriet May Poor. She had two brothers and a sister, named Mansel, Arthur and Mildred. She was the oldest of the four children.-
