Ella Josephine was born on August 26th, 1896 in Traverse Twsp South Of St. Peter,Minnesota. Ella Josephine's father was John Aaron (Johan Aaron Johnson) Rudell and her mother was Anna Beatta Christianson. Her paternal grandfather was Johan Johnson; her maternal grandparents were Christian Johnson and Lena. She had four brothers and four sisters, named George Conrad, Harry Carl, (John) Albert, (Otto) Leonard, Nellie Alida, Jennie Dorthea, Nora Mabel and Agnes Lillie. She was the fourth youngest of the nine children. She died at the age of 83 on April 28th, 1980 in Clarkfield,Yellow Medicine,Minnesota.-
