James McNew 
James was born in 1817 in ,,Tn. James' father was Churchwell McNew and his mother was Mary J. Kilgore. His paternal grandparents were George McNew and Sarah Jackson. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Stephen K., Charles M., Isaiah S., Rufus M., Manuel Jackson, Thomas Benton, Sally, Mary Rebecca Elizabeth and Martha A.. He was the second oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 60 on May 11th, 1877 in Grantsburg,Johnson,Il. He was buried in May 1877 in Ford Cemetery,Pope Co.,Il.General Notes
