Elizabeth Ann Ellis 
Elizabeth Ann was born on March 21st, 1837 in Hampshire Co.,Virginia. Elizabeth Ann's father was Levi W Ellis and her mother was Ann Johnson. Her paternal grandfather was George Ellis; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Johnson and Jane Largent. She had seven brothers and two sisters, named Thomas Jefferson, William Henry Harrison, George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Levi T, Jasper Newton, Commodorer Perry, Mary Jane and Ann Virginia. She was the third oldest of the ten children. She died at the age of 38 on March 16th, 1876 in Castleton,Stark,Illinois. She was buried in Valley Cemetery,Castleton,Illinois.General Notes
OBIT - Elizabeth Ann Ellis was born March 21, 1837 in Hampshire Co. Virginia.
Her parents were Levi and Anne Ellis. Her brothers and sisters were Mary Jane,
Ann, Thomas J., William H., George W., Benjamin F.,
Levi T., Jasper N., and Commander P. Ellis. The family
lived on a farm in Hampshire Co., VA. They moved to Illinois where several of
the older children married. Levi and Anne Ellis eventually settled in KS.
Elizabeth Ann Ellis married Edward Somers on June 11, 1866. Edward and
Elizabeth Somers were the parents of Mary Isabelle, Levi Azariah, George, James
H., William H. and Elizabeth Ann Somers. The family lived on a farm near
Castleton, Ill. Elizabeth Ann Somers died after giving birth to her namesake
daughter on March 16, 1876. She is buried in the Valley Cemetery at Castleton,
Illinois.
