Ethelbald's father was Ethelwulf DE WESSEX King Of England and his mother was Osburh DE WESSEX. His paternal grandparents were Egbert III DE WESSEX and Redburga DE TOULOUSE; his maternal grandfather was Oslac. He had four brothers and a sister, named Ethelred, Alfred the Great, Ethelbert, Athelstan and Ethelswith. He died in 0860 in Sherbourne Shirburn. He was buried in at Sherborne,Dorset.General Notes
