NOTES JOSEPH R COMPTON, son of John::
Also listed as native to Barren Co, death cert, 1850 Census 2nd div #367 1840 Census page 15 East of Little Barren river (10011-00011) i.e. we can place one male child below age 5, and probably a borther and a sister living with him.. He Was blacksmith, his father John COMPTON, biography in Perrin's Hist KY -

!1830 census of father john was one male 5-20, one male 10-15, one male 15-20 which would be Joseph R just turned 15 in March for June/July census, one male 50-60 which is John, (born between 1770 and 1780) and one female a sister to Joseph R daughter John 15-20, no older female (mother) shown so presumed dead by then.

!William Henry Compton who marries Phebe Ann. E Burton in 1853 in Barren Co Ky (book 2 page 209 Glasgow Ky -may well be the younger son born ca 1820-21 from the marriage date, and census says one son born 1820-25 which fits.

!Barren Co 1830 census age 1770-1780, prior to that 1820 Warren CO and 1810 also Warren Co Ky- NOTE dis linked RIN 217

!Warren co Ky 1810 census shows John 10010 males and 20100 for females, i.e. one older son below 10 and two dayghters born 1800-1810.

!Warren CO 1820 census shows 2000001 male and 1111 female - i.e. two boys below age 10 and John over 45 (born before 1775) and one daughter below 10, one 10 to 16 and one 16 to 26 with wife 26 to 45, i.e born.
before 1796 and after 1775..
