Joice was born on November 18th, 1762.1 Joice's father was William Right , Sr. Clements and her mother was Mary Wright. Her paternal grandparents were Stephen Clements and Elizabeth ???. She had three brothers and a sister, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named James, Jesse, John, Mary and Francis. She was the third oldest of the six children.
