John was born about 1768.1 John's father was William Right , Sr. Clements and his mother was Mary Wright. His paternal grandparents were Stephen Clements and Elizabeth ???. He had two brothers and two sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named James, Jesse, Joice, Mary and Francis. He was the second youngest of the six children.
