Squire John Hilliard Clements Jr 
John Hilliard was born on September 12th, 1820 in Amherst County,Virginia.1 John Hilliard's father was Johnathon Hillard Clements Sr and his mother was Tabitha McCloud. His paternal grandparents were William Right Clements Jr and Isabella Hilliard. He had four brothers and four sisters, named William, Anselon, James P., Cornelius, Nancy, Heziah, Elizabeth and Ellen. He died at the age of 86 on March 15th, 1907 in Reger,Missouri. He was buried on March 16th, 1907 in Schrock Cemetery,Sullivan County,Missouri.1 1 General Notes

"John Flemings [Clements] of Reger died Friday evening [15 Mar]
at the home of his daughter Mrs. Wat Rogers, age 86 years 6
months 3 days.?
John was a longtime member of the Masonic Lodge starting at the
Fairview Lodge in Scottsville, Sullivan County, Missouri. He was an
officer for several years including terms as Most Worthy and
later helped found the Seaman's Lodge in Milan. The Masons
created the obituary sentto area newspapers at this death.

According to John's Masonic obituary, he first came to Howard
County, Missouri in 1838. No record, census or otherwise shows him
in Missouri until his marriage in 1844 in Linn County.
