Henry was born on May 21st, 1779.  Henry's father was Conrad Jung (Young) and his mother was Margaret Hays.  His paternal grandparents were Hans Matheus Jung (Young) and Anna Margarete Feyin. He had two brothers and a sister, named Mathias, Charles Frances and Elizabeth.  He was the youngest of the four children. He had three half-brothers named John, William and George.
