Mahala Cooper

Mahala was born on January 1st, 1814.  Mahala's father was Henry Cooper and her mother was Lydia Elizabeth Posey. She had five brothers and two sisters, named Benjamin J., James, John S., Harry, Lemuel, Nancy Ann and Serena.  She was the third youngest of the eight children.  She died at the age of 48 on March 6th, 1862.

‌Mahala and John were married in a religious ceremony on September 7th, 1837 in Wood County,WV.
