Robert was born in 1299.  Robert's father was Gervase CLIFTON and his mother was Alicia de RABACY.  His paternal grandparents were Gervase CLIFTON and Amphilisia SAMSON; his maternal grandfather was Robert RABACY.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 78 in 1377.
