Gervase was born in 1314.  Gervase's father was Robert CLIFTON and his mother was Emma de MOTON.  His paternal grandparents were Gervase CLIFTON and Alicia de RABACY; his maternal grandfather was William de MOTON.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 64 in 1378.
