Mary was born on April 22nd, 1722 in Tiverton, Newport, RI.1 Mary's father was John Sisson and her mother was Rebecca Lawton. Her paternal grandparents were George Sisson and Sarah Lawton; her maternal grandparents were Adam Lawton and Mary Slocum. She had two brothers and four sisters, named John, Constant, Elizabeth, Judith, Abigail and Mercy\Marcy. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named James and Jane.-
