Sarah was born on April 1st, 1647 in Of, Portsmouth, Newport, RI.1 Sarah's father was Thomas Lawton and her mother was Elizabeth Salisbury. Her paternal grandparents were George Lawton and Isbell Smith; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Salisbury and Mrs. Salisbury. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Daniel, Isaac, Elizabeth, Rebecca and Ann. She was the second youngest of the six children. She died at the age of 71 on July 5th, 1718 in Portsmouth, Newport Co, RI. She was buried in July 1718.1 1 -
