Sylvester Markin 
Sylvester was born in 1836 in Ohio.1 Sylvester's father was Samuel Markin and his mother was Elizabeth Golden. His paternal grandparents were Charles W I Markin and Lucinda Dechard; his maternal grandparents were Warren Golden and Hetty Fletcher. He had three brothers and a sister, named Warren, Charles L, Samuel and Golden. He was the youngest of the five children.
‌Sylvester and Sianna were married in a religious ceremony on April 25th, 1861 in Lawrence County, Ohio.1 They had two sons and four daughters, named Isaac, Arthur W, Eliza Jane, Cecilla, James E and Laurie E.
