Richard Markin

Richard was born in 1845 in Ohio.¹   Richard's father was Daniel H. Markin and his mother was Margaret Sumpter.  His paternal grandparents were Charles W I Markin and Lucinda Dechard; his maternal grandparents were Richard Sumpter and Mary Kingery. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Charles M, Lorenzo Dow, Daniel, Martha, Luttitia, Lucianna and Elizabeth.  He was the fourth oldest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 19 on January 6th, 1864 in Fishers Hue Winchester VA during Civil War.¹
