Elizabeth was born on October 14th, 1807 in Union District, South Carolina.1 Elizabeth's father was Thomas Lusk and her mother was Susannah Davidson. Her paternal grandparents were Robert Lusk and Mary Vance; her maternal grandparents were John Davidson and Sara Gilham. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Isaac, Andrew, John, Sarah, Martha, Nancy and Susan. She was the second youngest of the eight children.-
