Esther Matilda was born on August 7th, 1901 in Decatur County Iowa.1 Esther Matilda's father was Levi Gatton and her mother was Jennie Ethel Wells. Her maternal grandparents were Abraham Jefferson Wells and Louisa Ione French. She had seven brothers and six sisters, named Lester Glenn, Bill Julian, Robert Levi, Lloyd Neil, George, Abraham Isaac, Fred, Nellie B., Ethel Naomi, Irene Isabelle, Helen Winona, Ruby Mae and Wilma Muriel. She died at the age of 58 on February 9th, 1960 in Chilhowee, Mo.1 -
