John D. Bell 
John D. was born on March 23rd, 1843 in Bethel Township, Monroe County, Ohio.1 John D.'s father was Alexander Bell and his mother was Christiana Deter. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Anthony S., James Alexander Graham, Edward F., Catherine M., Christina and Margaret E.. He was the third oldest of the seven children. John D. Bell served in the 2st Tennessee Infantry (Prov), CSA during the Civil War under Gen Braxton Bragg in Company F and was a Captain.
John D. and Miranda were married in a religious ceremony on April 15th, 1869 in Brownsville, Ohio, Monroe County.1 They had four sons named Charles D., Clarence, Frank E. and Edward Clyde.
John D. and Hulda were married in a religious ceremony in second wife.1 They had three sons named Major, John Earnest and James Glenn.
