Amon Wood

Amon was born on April 30th, 1777 in Montgomery Count, Maryland and his baptism took place in Buried in Maberr, Carrollton, IL.¹   Amon's father was Stephen Wood and his mother was Preshus RILEY. He had two brothers and seven sisters, named Bennet, Stephen, Amma, Betsey, Sally, Hester, Macksey, Susannah and Nancy.  He was the third oldest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 77 on June 26th, 1854 in Greene County, IL.¹
