Cecily was born about 1498 in Poynton, Cheshire, England. Cecily's father was Laurence De Warren and her mother was Margaret Leigh. Her paternal grandparents were John Warren and Eleanor Gerrard; her maternal grandfather was Piers Leigh. She had five brothers and eight sisters, named Edwarde, Ranulph, Laurence, Richard, George, Mabel, Helen, Margaret, Dorothy, Ann, Catharine, Jane and Isabel. She was the second oldest of the fourteen children.-
